Intelligent Camera, 600 MHz DSP, 60 fps, 256 MByte RAM, CMOS Camera
The VisionCam XS offers - as an intelligent, programmable camera - an attractive price / performance ratio: It is available in different resolutions - either in color or monochrome. Depending of the camera type, it delivers up to 60 fps. The frame rate is increased automatically if only a region of interest is selected. The image data are calculated on a 600 MHz Processor from Texas Instruments - named DaVinci. A large 2 GByte internal memory is available to store data and pictures. The sensor / processor combination offers more performance than many simple PC systems.
For communication with higher-level systems as well as the machine there are 2 / 4 digital IOs, a serial interface and an Ethernet interface. The camera can be triggered asynchronously from outside. The intelligent camera is delivered, as usual, with complete software, so that you can quickly integrate your application. Open C++ programming will result quickly in a customized, intelligent camera.
The VisionCam XS offers an intelligent access to industrial image processing. The powerful brother is certainly the VisionCam PS. More freedom in system design is given by the VisionBoxes through many supported cameras.
